I thought they generally didn't retract the landing gear on a maiden flight? Or am I mistaken?

It was great to see it finally get into the air. Took a tour of Boeing Field in 2008 and saw it in it's final stage. Boeing makes great aircraft. I was in the Air Force 8 years (1950-58) and worked on many of their a/c, great job.
