(Video) Top Gun: Maverick (2020) – New Trailer - Paramount Pictures

After more than thirty years of service as one of the Navy’s top aviators, Pete “Maverick” Mitchell (Tom Cruise) is where he belongs, pushing the envelope as a courageous test pilot and dodging the advancement in rank that would ground him. When he finds himself training a detachment of Top Gun graduates for a specialized mission the likes of which no living pilot has ever seen, Maverick encounters Lt. Bradley Bradshaw (Miles Teller), call sign: “Rooster,” the son of Maverick’s late friend and… ( More...

Top Gun is to us Naval Aviators what Clint Eastwood was to SF Police Dept.

I think I will spend some Christmas money on Richard Jewll, at least he was wronged by a corrupt system made up of who gets a so-called scoop first in this world only to vindicated years later.

It's about as close to military aviation as the movie "Airplane" is to commercial aviation but it is all about the characters and story line. Good and evil, tragedy and triumph, love and hate, overcoming adversity, and doing it your way is the American story. I go to see maybe one movie every few years. This will be the one.

Danger Zone!
Aw, but it's fun to watch. And remember the good ol' days of the Tailhook Conventions or carrier quals in the MAG-13 grass shack at Chu Lai. Time well spent.

It's a *MOVIE* people. Jesus, get a grip on yourselves. We get it. It doesn't mirror real life.

I for one, LOVED the original and when I first saw this trailer, the little kid in me exploded.

Top Gun was the movie that got me into aviation, the reason I wanted to be a fighter pilot growing up until life had other plans for me. That's what it's all about. Just enjoy it for what it is: a movie.

Movie Trailers on this news sheet! That's the last straw for me. This used to be a brilliant news publication but now it has sunk to a new low. Apart from being buried in ads. most of the "News" is old hat, at least 2-3 days old. Looking for a new source of avaition NEWs as of now.

And in the spirit of the season, guys, there is an ad, called product placement, for a motorcycle that he rides and when I read about it I said, Ship, that's faster than anything I flew in my first couple of years. And I have ridden a scooter or two. 236mph. Mooney 231!

We are talking here about the aviation industry, not about product placement. No offence against the motor cycle industry but there is no comparison between Jet Fighter Aircraft and motor cycles. This is an aviation web site, absolutely nothing what-so-ever to do with motor cycles.

The Hollywood epidemic - once you have made a terrible movie you have to make an even worse sequel even if 20 years or more later
I agree with Jim - this is not really aviation news
