Feds warn of small airplane terror threats
WASHINGTON (AP) — The FBI and the Homeland Security Department are warning about small airplane terror threats just days before the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks, but authorities say . . . (flightaware.com) More...Sort type: [Top] [Newest]
More bull-sheet-rock.... How about we cut, cap and balance DHS.. Time to get real....
Didn't DHS/TSA get rid of the color-coded warning system because they realized that their vague, baseless warnings were worthless?
Al Qaida has accomplished what it set out to do. America is afraid of its own shadow now - even chipmunks in the wood pile are suspect. These DHS/TSA are creating jobs for themselves by instilling fear in the citizens. Once look at the quality of personnel they are hiring will tell this is smoke and mirrors and self justification.
now watch al-qaida WILL do something even though bin laden is dead
My car can do way more damage then what I typically fly. WAY more. Joe McCarthy once saw what fear could do to Americans. And we know how his story ended. Just stop this talk. It is pure nonsense.
"The sky is falling, the sky is falling" Chicken Little after being struck in the head by a falling acorn. Welcome to "Chicken Little America 2011 edition"!! I was once an Ag-Pilot (in the 70's) Today there are 330 million Americans & only 3000 working agplanes: talk about a closed aviation society (ag flying) & the DHS actually promulgated the theory that an Ag operation could be infiltrated by an Al Queda operative; a Cicada would have a better chance!!! Agricultural Aircraft Operation FAA Part 137 Truism: Ag flying is a Very close knit community; any & every outsider would never come under consideration for an actual "seat" in a working agplane; the planes aren't there & the "seats" aren't there. DHS must think a terrorist would simply apply and then be granted a flying job as a cropduster: WHAT????? Go try to land an ag flying position next Spring & see how far you get!!! Almost always the Ag Operations have THE BEST Background checks in the flying industry: Everyone knows everyone and to actually end up in the cockpit of a working airplane is one of the hardest aviation positions to acquire: please recall these airplanes are single seat cockpits: no dual, no co-pilot stepping stones (I think SIMCOM has a simulator) just YOU the aspiring ag-pilot & the Ag operator who is about to entrust you (the new ag-pilot) with his $500,000 agplane all alone to get it up & get it down: DAMN RIGHT you (the new ag-pilot) have been THOROUGHLY vetted-checked out-verified & recommended before you even set foot in the single pilot cockpit & DHS thinks that some foreign born Al Queda type is going to penetrate this good ole boy network? Protect me from my "Protectors" over&out
