Lots of warnings, missionitis never in combat.

I meant never in peacetime.

Unbelievable! A chip light warning is right next to an engine fire warning and they continually ignored it. So sad the others had to ride it in after grossly poor decision making.

While it was certainly a wrong decision, "grossly poor" is harsh and not of the report.

The three-star general and V-22 pilot also described the warnings the crew was seeing as "kind of like a check engine light in your car -- you could drive your car for 10 years and not get any or you could drive next week and get three different ones for multiple reasons.”

That utterly insane and uninformed statement right there demands the firing of the general. The newly minted Gold Star Families would all agree.

Not a bad analogy, considering it was merely "dumbed down" for the novice uninformed.
