The journey to catching all nine retro AAL; retro jets at DSM got one step closer yesterday when the PSA "Smile Jet" graced my camera senior. Four down; five more to go.

(Grin) I understand completely your quest to "catch 'em all." I actually have (and HAVE had for about 4 years now) a "Top Ten Special Livery Must Catch List." The list changes and is updated every time I get a scheme that is listed on it. Currently, United's Star Wars scheme is #1 on that list. I won't ever get it unless I get very fortunate when I'm back at SFO again for a one-day there-and-back visit next month. With the decline in passenger traffic, UA is now only flying RJ equipment here, so I'll never get the Star Wars paint.

Thank you so much, Gavin and Gary! Ironically, I also have the Star Wars Ep. 9 livery as my #1 to catch. I did come in three tines here to DSM late last year on the overnight from ORD, but due night classes last semester could not go see it. Of course now that I can the flight has been downgraded to an E175. I actually recently created a "catches poster" which helps me track my progress on seeing and photographing aircraft I am interested in. I'll probably;y post it on Instagram soon as it could be helpful for other tracking aircraft they want to see.
