Boeing P-8 Poseidon (16-9335)
One of the seven US Navy big birds to make brief stops in Reno yesterday was this P-8A Poseidon (169335) seen here being led by an Atlantic ramp agent from taxiway Charlie to its parking position next to a Navy C-40 on the Atlantic Aviation ramp. A Navy KC-130 followed this P-8A on to the Atlantic ramp.

Even tho military arrivals are a fairly routine sight here, there was an unusual occurrence yesterday when a Navy C-40 was on approach to runway 16R with this P-8 Poseidon in the number 2 approach position and a Navy KC-130 in the far distance as number 3 to land. If they had all arrived just 15 minutes sooner, they would have joined up with another Navy C-40 that had arrived earlier, but that one had just departed.
