On final is this brand new Cessna Citation Latitude 680A in the Autumn of 2019.

The Lat 680A is a nice enough aircraft but what was Cessna's thinking wrt its mid jet market? The Sovereign is a proven platform, is near identical in performance, with just a slight bit more cost per F/H and headroom. The savings in acquisition cost of the Sovereign over the Latitude would go a long way towards operating and sustainment costs. Cessna overall has a great record and reputation but then they also take some quirky direction on occasion. Did I ever tell you about the time they turned down a DOD Navy proposal worth tens of millions...
