Douglas C-54 Skymaster (VH-INK)
Built in 1946, this A/C flew for many companies including SAS,JAL,KAL,etc. It was destroyed in a landing accident in Alaska in 2007!!

My uncle worked as an engineer for Ansett ANA at Mascot NSW post 2nd World War. Where was the photo taken? Precursor to 747 design?

If I had a bit more pilot seniority with Ansett I might have kept a co pilot seat warm in a Carvair. As it was. the F27 was a nice substitute.
