On charter to YBRK during Exercise Talisman Sabre 2019.
Comments
Perfectly timed Steve to catch that second landing.
Good photo, I would love to see one of these Antonov An-124 aircraft, or perhaps even the only massive Antonov An-225.
Volga Dnieper is currently flying AN-124s between Rickenbacker/Columbus, OH (KLCK) and Paine Field/Everett (KPAE) transporting GE engines for the Boeing 777X program. We get some VERY close-up views of these after they complete the delivery & prior to their departure to their next destination.
Joe Wood, he took forever to put down the first time and then bounced a long way. It did stop pretty quickly once down though. I was really lucky to get anything useful at all. If he wasn't delayed 30 minutes, it would have been too dark for me.
From the photo, he is landing on RWY 15 and he needed to pull up "very quickly" with only 1400 metres left. It would have been impressive to see.
