Piper PA-44 Seminole (ZK-NAH) - It was Sunday July 25, 1971. I was 15 and about to board a 90 minute scenic flight over the Southern Alps. Seeing Aorangi/Mount Cook; the Hermitage Hotel at Mount Cook village; the Tasman and Fox Glaciers, Lake Lyndon and the Waimakariri River were the highlights. It was a chilly, sunny and still day; perfect for flying.
