McDonnell Douglas DC-10 —
5 Miles Overhead.
Fedex DC10 almost directly over my house on the way from Memphis to Sacramento.
It is 5.05 miles above me!
Ability to get such an image depends very much depends on atmospheric conditions, and of course, equipment. Maybe we can start a new category.

What did you use to capture him Russ?
Pretty cool. I love it when the sky is clear and I can sit out back to watch the late afternoon flights from Atlanta to Europe passing overhead at 30+ thousand feet. I guess it harks back to the days in small towns when folks would wait in anticipation and watch passenger trains rolling past their back yards on their way to big cities.
