Can anyone identify this? It took off from TBPB (Barbados) about an hour ago. Doesn't appear on Flightaware, so I suspect it is military. It kinda looks like an Il-76, but I'm not sure what it would be doing in this part of the world.

Yeah, it is an Il 76...I watched the same exact plane on final approach to TBPB. On the fuselage of the plane I can make out RA- which are the beginning letters of any Russian aircraft so I suspect it is the Russian military...A lot of Il-76's land at TBPB every now and again, maybe about two a month. Hope this helps.

Turns out the registration is RA-76502 and it is not military, it is Aviacon Zitotrans which is an airline.

Thanks Tyler. If it’s commercial, why wouldn’t it appear on Flightaware during takeoff etc?

I am not sure...I have noticed that it happens sometimes with different aircraft even if they are commercial but I am not sure.
