Per Cirium: On July 13, 2025 this 2011 Cessna 172S Skyhawk SP was destroyed by impact and post-impact fire when it crashed shortly after takeoff from Sisters Eagle Airport, Sisters, Oregon. The point of impact was a wooded area within the Indian Ford Meadows community, just north of the airfield. Eyewitnesses reported seeing the aircraft 'attempting to turn' before crashing. One resident described the aircraft as appearing to 'hit a tree, then the ground, flipping before coming to rest against a fence'. All three occupants, identified as one pilot and two passengers, reportedly managed to evacuate the aircraft through a window before it became fully engulfed in flames, sustaining only 'minor injuries'. The accident happened in daylight (1106L) and in VMC.
