Boeing 737-800 (N905NN) - My first time catching the newly painted N905NN as the Astrojet retro here at RDU. What a beautiful airplane... American, can you go back to this? Thatd be awesome. At the observation deck, 12/10/17.

Great shot. I wish they'd go back to this livery, too.

Thanks. It was the perfect day to catch it - clear blue sky, 38 degrees, 11:30, still at the optimal time to shoot at that angle at the observation deck... that crisp air that lends itself to pix very well. I got some other great shots of it that I'll add later on. Nothing beats the old school eagle!

I'm almost expecting to see Capt Anson Harris (Barry Nelson) and Capt Vernon Demerest (Dean Martin) at the controls of that bird (see the movie "Airport"). Very reminiscent of Trans Global Airlines (TGA) livery. What a step back in time. Thanks for sharing your picture.

One of the best movies ever put to reel! Maybe I'm mistaken; I think this had just arrived from Lincoln Int'l!

retro paint job? Looks pretty good. These 738's are pretty nice aircraft.

Yep. And this is a retro concept they had before the US Airways retro bug bit the airline (with happy results). This is a newly painted 738, though - the previous Astrojet has been painted into the new livery.
