This first FA gallery photo of 166607 is a capture of the VFA-143 "Pukin' Dogs" F-18E smokin' its paws on the concrete as it touches down at NAS Fallon on a blazingly hot afternoon last summer.

Nice catch and a great picture-5*
TYVM, Dave. It came out crisp but unfortunately the landscape is bleached because it was around 1 PM, the sun was high with no clouds at all, and the air temp was over 100F that day. I am used to shooting in that environment and as long as I get a sharp catch of the aircraft I don't care about the sun-baked surroundings, but there are some photogs who get upset when shooting out here in the early afternoon hours on a clear day in summer.
