Beginning the thrust reversal process just as the nose wheel is about to kiss the wet concrete of runway 16R, OAE's N819AX arrives in Reno to pick up over 340 US Marines and take them back to Cherry Point, N. Carolina. It was raining as this Triple 7 touched down, but by the time it departed, the rain had ended and the sun was finding ways to break thru the overcast.

Each of the three Reno-Cherry Point legs of the RNO-NKT-RNO-NKT-RNO-NKT marathon charter assignment had N819AX fully loaded with over 340 troops, all their individual gear, associated military training exercise cargo, and a full load of fuel for the long flights.
