Raytheon Starship (N723SC)
Comments
For anyone who may not know it, this is a Burt Rutan design for Beech aircraft. Their are only about a dozen of these aircraft still in service. Burt flew one of these to Oshkosh in 2015 for Air Venture.
And they are extremely rare. I listen to a scanner when I spot and when the tower told a landing WN 737 that a "Starship" was landing on 25L I could care less what was around. This has been the first flying Starship that I have seen.
Great catch Scot! 5*
There is a starship or 2 that come out of KADS and KDAL regularly. Louder than the Piaggio's if you can imagine that.
Was standing on the ground in north Austin TX about 5 years ago. Suddenly, this pulsating turboprop sound screams over at about 1,500 feet. First and only Starship I saw in the air. That's a sound I won't forget.......................
