BOEING 727-200 (N558PS) - KSFO - apprx May-June 1987 at the Millbrae Ave airpark (now closed) this great looking Piedmont 727 N558PS rolled slowly to 1R for it's turn to depart - holding in position here allowed for great photos if it was not foggy. landing 28LR traffic was usually good for holding up departures for as long as 5 minutes sometimes and 15-20 aircraft would be waiting to depart. I am unsure where this 727 was headed. LN: 1482 original delivered to PSA-Pacific Southwest Airlines, being 1987 I'm sure Piedmont bought this as soon as they could when PSA was taken over by US Air.

Although I like the previous pic you posted of this a couple years back better than this one, this is still a fine snap, T. Five just because it's an oldie. *****

Alien >>> Leave 'em both. They are not the same; they are sequentials. Both are fives; I just like the other one better cause the tint is truer.

Dang it. Too late. You already had the other one removed. Well, it would have been OK if you had left it. But ....

Tom, awesome shot! TYVM for sharing. Piedmont, in fact already operated this aircraft when PSA was taken over by the U. This 3 holer ended up wearing the US Air paint after the U took over Piedmont in 1989 :(

My first day at work as a Piedmont A&P mechanic (1984), I worked an overnight check on a 727. Never forget it! Awesome airplane. Thanks again for posting.
