CONVAIR CV-580 (C-FNRC) - National Research Council of Canada Convair CV-580 (C-FNRC) on NRC tarmac at YOW awaiting a research flight on 12 May 23.  Aircraft was built as a CV-440 in 1957 and converted to a 580 (turboprop with four blades and a larger tail) in 1965.  Aircraft has been with the NRC since 1973 and currently serves as an airborne atmospheric sciences laboratory.
