I just saw this photo and thought... that must... yes - correct.
Another low point in plane spotting photography.

Guido, who appointed you to decide what is an acceptable 'plane spotting' photograph on this site? Maybe this was a person just starting out photographing aircraft and felt this was something they wanted to share. No one knows the story behind this photo other than the person posted it. I have a thought about what you can do with your negative comments.

Howdy, Mark. Hey, I'm not interested in getting in between you and Guido, but in the interest of helping you to be well informed so you don't make statements that reveal how little attention you've paid to this gallery in the four years you've been a member ....
"Maybe this was a person just starting out photographing aircraft ... "
(Grin) It is apparent that you aren't a frequent observer of this gallery. GOODLUCK747400 has well over Sixty THOUSAND photos in this gallery (the total is right there by his account name). In fact, GOODLUCK is either the #1 or #2 all-time photo poster on this site. Roughly 1/10th of the pics posted into the gallery DAILY are his. So "starting out' he's not.
As for the pics he posts and Guido's opinion of them, neither is anyone else's business. if GOODLUCK wants to post one, two, or 600 pics a day showing whatever he wants, it's really no one else's business. And if Guido wants to Comment about GOODLUCK's pic (or pics), that too is no one else's business. Or are you saying that no one is permitted to express anything but Positive Comments? Obviously you are also not aware that the FA Screener awards a Star Rating to many (not all, but many) of the pics submitted each day ... and ... the screeners often award ratings of One Star. So why is it you feel that Guido (who is honest enough to use his account name) should not offer his negative opinion yet the FA Screener (who hides behind anonymity) can slam a pic by giving it a One Star rating?
I'm not really trying to 'defend' Guido, but I will admit that I admire the fact that he is not afraid to express his opinion even tho his Account Name is in plain view. The same applies to you. I admire you for expressing your opinion even tho your Account Name is honestly and openly displayed. (Just take a moment to scan the Account Names to see how many are exactly like the FA Screeners -- using BS names like "PuppyLove101" or "Jet Exhaust Sniffer' to hide their identity.) (grin)
Seriously, tho, Mark, it may not be fashionable in today's social "climate' for people to say anything to anyone else unless it is something complimentary, but Guido has the courage to do as he prefers. Again, I have no desire to get in the middle but I will risk doing so in order to offer this info about how I deal with pics from contributors whose pics I don't like. I simply don't look at them. I swiftly scan the Thumbnails. When I spot a pic I think is worthy of viewing, I click on the Thumbnail to open it. If it turns out to be an actual pic (meaning not a reinvigorated PS fake, a stolen pic [there are many stolen pics posted here weekly], or a crummy pic, then perhaps I give it a 5 and perhaps I also make a positive comment. If not, then I note the contributor's name, close the pic, and never view any future (or past) pics by him / her / it again. Maybe Guido might do it that way, but he certainly is entitled to do it any way he wishes.
Best Wishes to both you and Guido. Hoping the new year brings both of you much happiness, good health, and safe travels. Sincerely, Gary C. Schenauer
