Visible, I suppose, but ugly.

I don't know where the "Nusantara" [Indonesia] comes from but the FAA registration certificate says "Messerschmitt."

It's a Messerschmitt bolkow Kawasaki design

Paul - Sam has it nailed to the wall and what you viewed on the FAA registration is correct.

The Nusantara NBK-117 is a license built copy of this type as constructed in Indonesia.

I have flown on the predecessor to the MBB/Kawasaki BK 117, which was the Bölkow developed MBB Bo 105 helicopter, known for its hingeless main rotor design. In offshore service, it was favored for cargo work due to this type's rear clamshell doors. PHi operated the Bo 105, equipped with flotation gear and flown with one pilot to maximize passenger seating.

They don't have the range of Bell nor the price tag of the Eurocopter/Airbus but they are small and nimble and great in wind...perfect for medical use.
Ive seen this one land in gusts of 35-40 and dosent bounce around...
