Airbus A380-800 (A6-EOF) - On the occasion of YYZ having 3 Emirates A380's on the ground at the same time (a first!), this rescue bird lines up on runway 06L to take stranded pax back to Dubai. The previous day's return flight lost it's number 2 engine about an hour into the flight home, turned around near Montreal and landed safely back at YYZ. A rescue bird was dispatched from Dubai (pictured here) and arrived the following morning along with the regularly scheduled 380. To top it off, Emirates SkyCargo sent us a 777F with the new engine and a crew of 20 for the installation. Later in the week a Cargolux 747 operating for Emirates ferried the damaged engine to London.
