Back in 1974 I was lucky to be working at the David Wayne Hooks airport in Houston TX and meet Jerry Baker who owned the P51B at the time. I was so lucky that he invited me to go up in it form about 20 minutes. I have never forgotten that day. Back then it was Black and white and the cockpit was still original OD Green and the data plate read North American Bros Aircraft.
Nice story -- however this is a P51-D model
